opal weekends and why

opie is my weekend dog or maybe i'm his weekend mom.  either way, we only see each other on the weekends.  'opal weekends'- get it?

there are few and far between occasions where we get a three day weekend and on one of those three days we play 'co-workers'.

on such occasions one of us does a little more playing than working and yesterday we struck a happy compromise where we put his bed on my desk (see last photo).  this way we got to be as close to one another as possible while still getting work done- or at least for some while others napped.
